The teacher PC app runs the class inside the classroom. It downloads class materials in advance, opens a room, and sends them to student devices. Materials and class lists are prepared on the web.

VR Headset App

VR headset app (Meta Quest)

The XRWorld app for student VR headsets. It is not a store app, so install it from a PC over USB.

  1. 1. Turn on developer mode for the headset in the Meta Horizon app.
  2. 2. Connect the headset to the PC with USB and allow USB debugging inside the headset.
  3. 3. Install the APK with Meta Quest Developer Hub or SideQuest, or run adb install -r <APK file> in a terminal.
  4. 4. XRWorld appears under "Unknown sources" in the headset app library.
  5. When a new version is released, install it again the same way (adb install -r keeps the saved address and name). Use the same version as the teacher app.

How to install

  1. 1. Run the installer. No administrator rights are needed; it installs in your user folder.
  2. 2. If “Windows protected your PC” appears, click More info → Run anyway. This warning appears because the app is not code-signed yet.
  3. 3. On first launch, Google sign-in opens in your default browser. Sign in with the same account you use on the web. Class materials stay in that account’s Google Drive.
  4. 4. When you start your first class, if a Windows Firewall prompt appears, allow both private and public networks. If student devices cannot join over the classroom network, this setting is usually the cause.
  5. 5. Students on the same Wi-Fi join with the room number and PIN shown on screen. No account is needed.

Before you start

  • · Class preparation (registering materials, making class lists) is done on the web; the app picks a list and runs the class.
  • · Materials are downloaded to the PC before class, so a slow school internet connection rarely disrupts the class.
  • · Free members can open classes for up to 5 students. Upgrade to paid for more seats.
  • · There is no automatic update yet. When a new version is released, download it here and install over the old one.
